A Review of the 2023/24 Snooker Teams Season and Performance

In 2023 Hall Green H.G. snooker team returned to the Stirchley District Snooker League after a 5 year absence. We were required to play in Division 3 by the Stirchley League Administrators.
Our team objective was to win promotion to Division 2 by the end of the 2023/24 snooker season. All the players welcomed the challenge and were totally committed to this goal, and they did not disappoint either! Six months later and after 22 league matches, we were top of division 3 and six points clear of our nearest rival team. Our promotion had been achieved in some style. Division 2 here we come!
A Great Achievement
This was a great achievement by the team, Hall Green H.G. Club and its members.
On a personal level it was a real delight to be part of this team i.e. Raj, Ian, Paul, Justin, David. I thank them for their 100% commitment, fighting spirit on the green baize and their good spirit off the table.
I would also like to take the opportunity to thank the clubs committee for their unwavering support of the snooker team and especially in getting the match tables recovered for the start of the campaign. Also a very special thanks to the club members for their interest, enthusiasm support and encouragement, as this was greatly appreciated by the team.
Looking forward to the 2024/25 season and testing our whit in Division 2!
